December 7th, 2006: The School of IT's CyberGames and Interactive Entertainment Conference has been declared a big success most of the 110 international delegates who attended the three-day event at the Esplande Hotel in Fremantle. "We had top games developers from around the world, showing some pretty wild stuff", co-organiser Dr. Graham Mann said today. "I think we were all startled at the level of commercial and scientific interest that games have come to engender. Some of the most difficult problems in distributed network services, artificial intelligence, graphics and human interfaces are being solved because of the demand by today's computer games developers. Together with other forms of interactive entertainment, it probably now forms the biggest market in consumer software."
